Recent Classroom Technology Improvements
Full Classroom Inspections
Over the summer, in addition to our annual computer imaging, we thoroughly inspected each classroom, checking the functionality of all student computers, podium computers, projectors, control consoles, and emergency telephones. These inspections aim to reduce or eliminate computer issues at the start of the semester.
Projector Upgrades
We have upgraded the cabling from computers to projectors to CAT-6. This upgrade ensures that older, lower-capability cabling will no longer compromise image quality. We have nearly concluded this work, with about ten classrooms to complete.
Classroom Printers
We have begun upgrading classroom printers and plan to continue throughout the fall and spring semesters. While we encourage reductions in printing to support environmental sustainability, we acknowledge the importance of printing for academic coursework. The new printers are faster and more efficient.
Improving Network Resilience
IT has invested in increased bandwidth and redundancies to enhance WiFi availability, performance, and reliability. We have installed additional WiFi access points throughout the campus to eliminate dead zones and conducted network forensics over the spring and summer to improve network robustness.

Some specialty software such as Galaincha, Stoll M1, vRay, and ZBrush are available only available the classroom or specialty computer labs. PrintFX offers a range of professional printing services including portfolio quality prints, budget posters, fabric printing as well as fabrication services such as 3D printing, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, custom button pins, and vacuum forming.
