For students: All courses are entered in Brightspace, but instructors need to activate the course before students can access it. Online courses open one week before the start of the semester/session. Other courses will be accessible as soon as the instructor opens the course, if the instructor chooses to use Brightspace for the course.
For instructors: Brightspace automatically creates course shells once your name has been entered into Banner for the course (it can take up to 24 hours to update). If you do not see your course listed on your homepage, please contact your department secretary to check/update Banner.
To log in to Brightspace, go to brightspace.fitnyc.edu in your web browser. (DO NOT add “www” to the address.)
Enter your FIT Username and Password (the same credentials as you use for MyFIT and Google Workspace).
Once you have entered your credentials, click Sign in.
At this time, all individuals should wait up to 10 (ten) minutes after they change or update their FIT password before attempting to sign in to FIT systems. Note: FITAIR and Google Workspace (Gmail) logins are not impacted by the delay.
