IT Maintenance
The Division of Information Technology regularly performs upgrades and maintenance on FIT IT Systems to improve functionality and prevent unplanned outages. We do our utmost to schedule maintenance during our set maintenance windows, preapproved times when services may be unavailable. On occasion emergency maintenance will be required during times outside of maintenance windows; a maintenance notice will be posted on this page and an email may be sent to the relevant users.

*IT incidents: unplanned outages and disruptions to services are posted to the IT website and not added to the IT maintenance calendar.

Maintenance Windows
Maintenance is scheduled for a set period of time typically called a maintenance window. All maintenance windows are listed in Eastern Time.
Recurring maintenance and the corresponding maintenance windows are scheduled in advance for a particular service.
- MyFIT Maintenance: every Tuesday – Sunday: 1:50 – 2:30 AM
- FIT Remote Labs (FRL) Maintenance: every Sunday – Friday: 6 – 7 AM, extended maintenance Saturday Midnight – 8 AM
As-needed maintenance is performed during the reserved maintenance windows. All IT-supported services may be unavailable or experience disruptions during the maintenance time below.
- Every Thursday: 6 – 8 AM
- Every third weekend of the month, Friday 11 pm through Saturday 8 am and Saturday 11 pm through Sunday 8 am for Mac reboots
- Every summer Friday when the college is closed: All Day*
- Winter recess, when the college is closed
*Summer Friday maintenance windows are used on an as-needed basis. The Division of Information Technology meets each Wednesday to determine which maintenance activities are needed; the IT website is updated each Thursday morning with times and affected services for that Friday.
