“Remind me later” Don’t procrastinate when it comes to your security

Any device that connects to the internet is vulnerable to risks. The best defense is to keep all device security software, web browsers, and operating systems up to date.  If you don’t want to have to remember to do this or keep an eye out for when updates are available simply set your systems to automatically update.

The more harmful malware attacks tend to take advantage of software vulnerabilities in common applications, like operating systems and browsers. These are big programs that require regular updates to keep safe and stable. Never procrastinate about software updates, instead view those updates as one of the most important steps you can take when it comes to protecting yours and the college’s information.  And remember that this applies to your phones, smartwatches, and TVs as well as your computers.
