Instructions
Have you tried to connect a TV to cable in the Residence Halls? Do you think your jack might be broken?
Follow the steps below for tips and troubleshooting steps. If this Self-Help Article does not resolve the problem, be sure to open a ticket with TechHelp and include as many details as possible.
1. Locate your wall jack for cable
Once you locate your cable TV jack, do a visual inspection. To the best of your knowledge does it look okay?
Every room will have at least one wall jack, you may need to look behind furniture.

Does your jack have the right connections?

The previous resident may have removed the Cable Barrel Connector to install a cable splitter if you are missing a cable barrel connector. If your jack is missing a cable barrel connector, please contact TechHelp.
2. Test the connection
Is the cover missing? Many times the jack is fine even if the cover has fallen off.
If you feel comfortable doing so, test the connection to determine if the issue is cosmetic such as a missing or damaged cover.
