IT Ticketing System Change Coming September 28

On September 28, 2026, FIT will move its IT ticketing system from Ivanti Cherwell to Ivanti Neurons. The Self-Service Portal will remain the place to report IT issues, submit requests, and check the status of your tickets.

What will change?

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required when signing in to TechHelp.fitnyc.edu, just like your FIT Gmail and MyFIT. 
  • You will see a new login screen and, after signing in, updated visuals, menus, and navigation.
  • The web address will remain TechHelp.fitnyc.edu. However, if you bookmarked a direct Cherwell link, you will need to update your bookmark.
  • Links to tickets in previous Cherwell emails will no longer work after the transition.
  • All open tickets will be transferred to the new ticketing system.
  • IT will retain records of tickets that were completed in Cherwell.
