The month of October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a nationwide effort between government and industry to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.  FIT became a Cybersecurity Awareness Month “Champion” in 2019, a title granted by the Nation Cyber Security Alliance for organizations that take steps toward promoting a safer, more secure, and more trusted internet. 

Everyone at FIT can play an important role in preventing a cyberattack all year round by following effective cybersecurity practices. Still, the month of October is especially dedicated to educating our FIT community on how they can play their part in protecting the college and its data.
