How to sign in to Microsoft 365 (M365)

Instructions

Go to www.office.com
Enter your FIT email address
Click the “Next” button

Note: Offer and access is not available to Pre-College, Continuing Education, and Seminar Students.

Enter your FIT Password and click “Sign in” button

Recommended: select “No”, if you are accessing your M365 account on a shared computer.

Verify your Identity - Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication

After you sign in with your FIT username and password you will be prompted to verify your identity again based on your previous security selections.

Microsoft Authenticator app (Recommended)

Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on phone

Enter code displayed on computer.

To make sign-ins easier, consider selecting “Don’t ask again for 14 days” option if you’re on a trusted device. Avoid using it on shared or public computers for security reasons.
Phone (Text)

Select Text.

You will receive a text message to the phone number on file, enter verification code received and then click the “Verify” button.

Phone (Call)

Select Call.

To make sign-ins easier, consider selecting “Don’t ask again for 14 days” option if you’re on a trusted device. Avoid using it on shared or public computers for security reasons.

You will receive a phone call from Microsoft and follow the prompt to complete the sign in.

You may now use M365 apps online or install on your computer
