Today, Thursday, September 6th at 2pm RCN, FIT’s Cable TV provider addressed Cable TV issues on campus. During maintenance there may be interruptions to service for the entire campus; channels may not be available, or quality may be impacted.
The interruption in service will last for approximately ten minutes. Once maintenance is complete FIT residents may need to rescan the channels to capture the new signal. While the instructions to do this, differ on different televisions, in general you can follow the instructions below to rescan the cable channels:
- Go to the “menu set-up” screen.
- Select “channel set-up”, press Enter
- Hi-light auto program channels.
- If asked, select “cable”, and press Enter.
