In preparation for construction of the new academic building, the current data center located in the Feldman Center must be relocated. To facilitate this work, all IT-supported services will be unavailable or experience intermittent interruptions Friday, March 23, beginning at 3 pm EDT, through Monday, March, 26, at 8 am EDT. Any classes, events, or programs that utilize IT-supported services during the scheduled time frame should plan accordingly.
You should have an expectation that any work performed after 3 pm on IT-supported services will be lost.
IT-supported services that will be unavailable include, but are not limited to:
- MyFIT (including grades, bill payment, and registration)
- Blackboard Transaction (pay-for-print services)
- Banner (all Banner services)
- Charging Stations
- Touchnet (bill payment services)
- Visitor management
- Library databases – WGSN, Stylesight, etc.
- G Suite apps (Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc.)
- Internet, cable, and phone services
- Password reset and management
Additionally, computer labs, including labs in the library and Computer Commons, will be closed Friday, March 23, beginning at 3 pm EDT, through Monday, March 26, at 8 am EDT, in conjunction with the planned maintenance.
Tech Tip: Restart your computer on Monday, March 26, after the maintenance is complete. This will assist with reconnecting to systems that may have been impacted by the move.
