The TechHelp team is enhancing the process for remotely accessing your desktop when providing assistance. Starting on June 16, your consent will be required before TechHelp can take temporary remote control of your desktop. The process will include the following steps:
1. A prompt will appear on your screen requesting permission for the TechHelp team member to remotely access your desktop. You will have the option to “Consent to Control” or “Reject Control.”
2. To allow the technician to access your computer, click the “Consent to Control” button. If you are working with sensitive or confidential data you should save and close your work before providing consent. The TechHelp team member cannot access your desktop until you have clicked “Consent to Control.”
