Earlier this week, the shared and network drives hosted by FIT experienced an interruption that prevented the server from saving changes made to files within the drives, though it appeared to allow users to add, modify, and remove files during this time frame. The drives impacted are commonly referred to as the N: drive for employee drives and M: drive for departmental drives.
If you added or modified any files stored in the shared drives or your network drive between late evening on Monday, September 11 to early morning Wednesday, September 13, please review your drives and their documents to verify the changes took place. If they did not, please make the changes again. These changes include, but are not limited to, uploading files to and deleting files from the drives, editing documents saved on the drives, and renaming documents.
We are working with Microsoft to determine the cause of the interruption to ensure this does not occur again.
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to monitor and maintain FIT systems.
