FIT has a special Cable TV package provided by RCN.
If a channel is missing, frozen or has a bad picture you should:
1. Check if there is a known issue or planned maintenance on our Happening Now page.
2. Contact TechHelp
3. If TechHelp is closed. You may call RCN at 1-877-726-7000
a. inform the technician that you are calling from a college and the equipment is located on the first floor of 220 West 27th Street (known to us as Alumni Hall)
b. Email TechHelp@fitnyc.edu informing us that you have contacted RCN; include the reason, service number, your location and contact details.
Why do you need to tell the RCN technician where the equipment is?
You may have noticed unlike your home cable network there are not cable boxes connected to each TV, if you are reporting a problem in your dorm room the technician will not be able to repair the problem from your dorm room they must go to where the equipment is located.
