Account Locked Out or Suspended
Why does your account get locked out? Causing you not to be able to log in to campus computers?
Why does your account get suspended temporarily? Causing you not to be able to log in to MyFIT?
The reason your account will get locked out or suspended temporarily is if an invalid password was entered too many times. If you are certain you are entering the password correctly, there are two solutions that you should try.
1. This is a common scenario, you were able to log in to MyFIT at home and your password was working but when you arrived on campus you tried and it is no longer working. If that is what happened to you it is likely a wireless device trying to connect to FITAIR with an old password.
Your phone, tablet and other wireless devices can cache (store) your old password and attempt to connect you to FIT wireless network FITAIR with an invalid password. Solution: update your wireless devices with your new/current password. The simplest way to do this is to Forget FITAIR on your Android and iOS devices and then reconnect to FITAIR.
2. Update your password, it is possible that your password expired. Passwords expire every 120 days. If you have set up your password security questions you can use the Forgot Password tool to reset your password. If you neglected to set up your password security questions, please contact TechHelp so we can help restore your access and provide you with a new password.
